Preface
How can anyone
that believes in God NOT believe in miracles and the other ways in which God works with mortals in their lives? It seems a dichotomy to me that there appear to be so many that profess to believe in Him yet do
not believe that He will perform miracles in their behalf or in behalf of others.
Some time ago, I shared a circumstance with a
friend and associate in which I had been guided—miraculously—by the Hand of God in making a decision. My friend told me that I should share my story with others because we all needed to hear and be reminded
of God’s hand in our lives. She further stated that many people fear sharing
their experiences because they don’t feel that others will believe what they are told.
These kinds of people are not the ones that we should be concerned with. Faith
building experiences should be shared in order to strengthen those who want to believe or those who already do believe.
By a servant of God, I have been told that the
reason I have been given the “miraculous” experiences that I’ve had in my life is so that I can assist in
contributing to the “Work and Glory of God.” The “Work and
Glory of God” as defined in the scriptures is “bringing to pass the immortality and eternal life of man.” [Definitions: Immortality-the reuniting
of the body and spirit at resurrection (a free gift to all); Eternal life- living with God eternally as He is.(must be earned)]
My life has been filled to overflowing by the
hand of the Lord within it. He has often guided my course, shown me things, and
aided me in ways that would have been impossible for me to do on my own. Some
of the things which He has shown me have been very sacred to me and I share them only on occasion as I feel prompted to do
so.
Of late, the spirit has constantly bombarded
my mind with the thought that this was not enough. I have felt compelled with
the idea that I must do more for the many faithful souls who hunger for the reassurance that God really is watching over them
and those around them that they love and care for. We all have times when it
feels as though our prayers don’t get past the ceiling.
This site is not intended to convert non-believers
into believers. It is meant to reaffirm and strengthen those who already have
a belief and foundation in God and Jesus Christ. This includes those who may
only be able to hope to believe.
I am now a member of the Church of Jesus Christ
of Latter-Day Saints. I have chosen to adhere to the sage counsel to write about
what I know. I know what it is to be a member of this church. For this reason, I have focused this material upon the experiences of members of the Church of Jesus Christ
of Latter-day Saints (a.k.a.: Mormons). One point should be made though—“Miracles”
can and do happen elsewhere within the world and are not restricted to one church or one people. Miracles can and often do occur wherever God and His son need to:
testify of truth, lead the people to Them, or fulfill the purposes of God’s Kingdom. God is bound by His own laws and by His promises to men.
I have found this to be true even at the time
in my life when I did not affiliate with “Mormons” because I fervently believed that their church could not be
what it claimed to be—the one and only church with the authority to act in God’s name. By the Hand of God, I have been shown the fallacy of my belief. I
would not have accepted it from any other source than from God nor should any mortal do any less.
You can know from the heavens that God and Jesus
Christ live. But that is not all, you can and should know His nature, feel His
love and find your purpose in His plan for His children (us). This site
cannot show you your purpose because each person’s path through this life is as unique as his/her fingerprints.** This site only attempts to show you how the Lord has expedited others on their way. It is intended to act solely as a testimony of His Divinity, His loving care
for all of His children, and indeed for the veracity of His very existence.
I hope that you will find from it some insight,
some seed to encourage you in your pursuit of who you are and what your relationship to your God is or ought to be. My prayers go with you for strength for though the way is not an easy one—it will be eternally more
rewarding than it is difficult. “For since the beginning of the world have
not men heard nor perceived by the ear, neither hath any eye seen, O God, besides Thee, how great things thou has prepared
for him that waiteth for thee.” (Doctrine and Covenants 133:45)
